Operators must disclose the origin of all goods destined for shipment to the EU.
For instance, if compliant goods like coffee from multiple origins are mixed within a silo and a portion of those goods is subsequently shipped to the EU:
– The declared origin upon arrival in the EU must encompass the origin of all goods introduced into the silo since its last emptying, which could potentially be included in the EU shipment.
– It is not permissible under the Regulation to declare the origin of a specific quantity of goods entering the silo (equal to the quantity shipped to the EU). Such practice would contravene the Regulation’s prohibition on introducing products of unknown origin into the Union market.
