EUDR Data Collection
Companies must ensure their supply chains are deforestation-free
To comply with the EUDR, industry players must gather comprehensive database regarding the commodities or products they intend to sell.
This EUDR Data collection should include details such as:
- Quantity, supplier, country of origin, and proof of legally compliant sourcing.
Companies under the EUDR Data collection are obligated to acquire geographic coordinates pinpointing the specific land plots where these commodities are cultivated.
These geolocation coordinates must be included in the due diligence statements submitted by operators, before introducing their products in the EU cattle market or exporting them.
This means industry players in the EU have a responsibility to ensure their supply chains are deforestation-free and compliant with the regulation.
